Charles Sturt University announces new Master of Health Professional Practice for Sydney and Melbourne

Charles Sturt University is preparing to introduce its new Master of Health Professional Practice (with specialisation) at its Sydney and Melbourne campuses, with a commencing launch in March 2027.

The new program responds to growing global demand for professionals who can lead, manage and innovate within increasingly complex health systems, particularly across areas such as health services management and digital health.

A future-focused degree for a changing health sector

The Master of Health Professional Practice is designed for both career progression and career transition into the health sector, with a focus on leadership, management and digital transformation.

Open to graduates from any discipline, the course provides an accessible pathway into health-related careers without requiring a clinical background.

 

Real-world experience built into the course

A key feature of the program is its work-integrated learning model, with students expected to complete up to 320 hours of internships in their final year.

These experiences are designed to provide exposure to real health environments, including hospitals, government organisations and digital health settings, supporting graduates to develop practical, job-ready skills.

Scholarships available for launch intake

To support the launch of the course, eligible international students commencing the Master of Health Professional Practice (with specialisations) in Session 1, 2027 may be eligible for a 35% New Course Launch Scholarship, applied from the second semester of study.
