A Homestay arrangement gives students the opportunity to get an authentic cultural experience by living with an Australian family. Australian host families come from many places including Europe, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong, among others.

Homestay consists of a variety of family environments including married couples (with or without children), single parents or a single person. Students are able to apply for Homestay accommodation via the Australian Homestay Network website.

The Homestay Officer will house students accordingly and email the Homestay Profile and confirmation to the agent/student directly. Learn more about Homestay and the breakdown of costs.

A private rental means renting a house, flat or apartment from a private landlord or real estate agent. You can rent by yourself or with other people, and rooms may be furnished or unfurnished. Private accommodation rent does not include utilities and you will have to buy and cook your own meals.

Student accommodation can be incredibly convenient places to live. You may find an apartment, room to yourself or share with fellow students. Rooms are generally fully furnished and come with 24-hour support. There is often shared facilities including gym, BBQ, pool and study areas.
