Reconciliation and Acknowledgement of Country
Reconciliation and Acknowledgement of Country
At Charles Sturt University Sydney and Melbourne we respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which our campuses stand.
Our regional campuses are located on the lands of the Wiradjuri, Ngunawal, Gundungurra and Birpai peoples, and we pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
In addition:
Charles Sturt University Sydney campus is on the traditional lands of the Cammeraygal people of the Dharug language group.
Charles Sturt University Melbourne campus is on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Woi-wurrung language group of the Kulin Nation.
We respect the enduring connection of First Nations peoples to Country, waters, skies, cultures and communities, and we commit to advancing reconciliation through meaningful relationships, cultural understanding and inclusive practice.
This acknowledgement is guided by the Navitas Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (2024–2026) and reflects our ongoing commitment to a culturally safe and respectful learning environment.
