I truly admire my lecturers. From day one, it was clear they’re experts in their fields. Their exceptional teaching skills and intelligence inspire me to stay motivated in my studies. They’re approachable and always willing to help when I encounter challenges.
What’s your favourite aspect of your course?
I love how my lecturers explain topics through storytelling – it makes the information unforgettable. Charles Sturt’s Learning Management System is also highly interactive, with lectures supported by engaging content like YouTube videos and TEDx talks. This approach makes learning both enjoyable and memorable.
Can you describe a particularly rewarding project or assignment?
The assignments are purposefully designed to help us showcase our knowledge effectively. The concepts I’ve learned through these projects will be invaluable in my future career.
Campus Life
What do you enjoy most about campus life?
The Charles Sturt Melbourne campus is perfectly located in the heart of the CBD, offering countless opportunities. The campus itself is calming and quiet with plenty of study spaces. Plus, we get free coffee – always a nice bonus!
How have you found the facilities and student support?
The reception staff are always friendly and helpful. They’re incredibly solution-oriented, making it easy to approach them with any issues. I’ve had wonderful interactions with Melissa, Joanna, Cynthia, and Grace – they’re all so kind and approachable.
Can you share a memorable campus experience?
Since Charles Sturt Melbourne is quite new, one standout event was the campus opening, which coincided with Chinese New Year celebrations.
Grace, who supports us with referencing and academic writing, has also been proactive in organising study skills workshops throughout the year.
Personal Growth
How has Charles Sturt helped you grow personally and professionally?
The university has helped me develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills. The thought-provoking lectures, particularly from academics Navid and Afzaal, have provided excellent opportunities for brainstorming and sharing ideas.
What skills have you developed during your studies?
I’ve significantly improved my communication skills and gained a deeper understanding of academic integrity – both essential for professional success.
Can you describe a challenge you overcame?
I initially struggled with academic referencing, as it was completely new to me. When I reached out for help, Grace arranged a face-to-face meeting to guide me through APA 7 referencing. Her support made a tremendous difference, and I now feel confident in my referencing skills.

The university has equipped me with essential knowledge and skills for success in my field – critical thinking, communication, and academic integrity are all crucial for my future career.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to enter the industry through an internship to gain practical experience before securing a full-time position.
